Earth Day 2009 April 22, 2009
Happy Earth Day Friends,
For those of us not that familiar with Earth Day, it is a campaign to educate people about how to be more environmentally conscious and to help extend the dwindling natural resources on our dear planet Earth. I think of Earth Day as little things I can do everyday to save me mo ney GREEN as many of the tips save me a lot of money. Things like recycling, turning off lights when not in use, turning off water while brushing teeth, making sure home appliances work well and not increase my electricity bill, avoiding dangerous plastics leeching toxins into my food and body, eating more local and/or organic foods to help me avoid dangerous pesticides linked to many health problems facing us and our children today so I can save more money GREEN on less medicine as a result. While I personally find many "earth friendly" , "environmentally safe" and "green" commercial products to be well out of my price range for everyday use, there are many old school natural tips that have been used for centuries that work well. I have attached a brochure with my current favorite "green" cleaning recipes and tips. Also enjoy these Earth Day goodies today. Act fast as many of these are in-store only for a limited time.
Happy save-the-earth, save- money, save-my-health Earth Day everyone!
