I just finalized this simple recipe for" fried plantains" using an air fryer. Total time less than 15 minutes start to finish. Enjoy and share.
Air fryer plantains.
2 ripe plantains
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup avocado oil
If not ripe place in brown paper or paper bag until ripe.
Peel and slice ripe plantains at an angle 1/4 inch thick.
Mix equal amounts coconut oil and avocado oil ( 1/4 cup each) in a bowl.
Add plantain slices to the bowl of oils and cover on both sides.
Add slices in single layer in air fryer. Cook at 370 degrees for 7 min.
Flip ( optional) and cook another 3 min. Enjoy.
Refrigerate and reheat next day if needed.
