Get $10 PayPal money when you spend $50 or more at The Home Depot. PayPal checkout is available at the register keypad instead of using your debit or credit card. It was surprisingly easy to use. This coupon must be redeemed by Dec 11 2012. Enjoy the home improvements, winter preparations or holiday decorations. Home Depot also has good everyday pricing on natural cleaners and laundry detergents.

I  received this in an email yesterday just as I needed to purchase a faucet to replace a leaking unit in my kids’ bathroom. What a blessing and amazing timing!

FREE samples pages from the book Unjunk Your Junk Food. This is a great colorful book to help kids and adults understand what constitutes real foods. My 7 year old loves looking at this book and seeing the healthier alternatives we eat at home versus what she sees in tv commercials or in advertisements. This is a great tool for anyone wanting to know what ingredients to look for and avoid when shopping. Transitioning a family to real food is easier with this book as a tool.

Hello Friends,
  1. Harris Teeter is selling Light life vegetarian pepperoni, 4oz. only $3 each. Lightlife products all use non-GMO soybeans and are made in the USA. Sale ends Tues Nov 20. This product is vegan.
  2. Whole Foods has Spectrum Organic Shortening and Organic Butter Flavor Shortening on sale until 11/27/12 for only $5.29!!!!! Use the $2 off any Spectrum culinary oil coupon in the Whole Deals circular or online at http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/coupons/
FINAL PRICE: $3.29. Why am I so excited about this? The regular price at Whole Foods is $6.99 and $7.49 (butter flavor) so this is a great deal. I normally only purchase this item at Kroger, Super Target or Wal-Mart Supercenter as the regular price is $5.49-5.99. This product is great:
  •   If you are vegan or trying a vegan lifestyle
  • If you are cooking for someone that needs dairy-free, trans fat free food
  • If you want to avoid trans fats (made from organic palm fruit oil which does not contain any trans fats naturally)
  • If you just want to keep a shelf stable (non-refrigerated) substitute for butter available this winter (I am a fresh-made butter lover and the butter flavor tastes great)
  • If you have a loved one who needs to avoid trans fats
  • If you want a tasty trans fat free oil for pan frying (like for oatmeal burgers-YUMMY)
  • If you want a tasty vegetable based oil as a substitute for meat-based additions to stove-top cooked vegetables like turnip greens and collard greens
I personally use both the original and butter flavor versions (only when on sale) at home for homemade icing &, pie crusts, in sautéed vegetables, or in baking for vegan friends. It is also great as a super hair, lip or skin moisturizer (not the butter version).  Be advised palm fruit oil is 50% saturated fat so moderation is the key. This is just a tasty alternative to the trans-fat laden shortening or lard found in many stores.

3. Kroger has Cascadian Farms Organic Fruitful O’s cereal for only $2.99. Ditch the American version of Fruit Loops and their fake colors and 30+ ingredients for a tasty breakfast to fuel our kids with real food and no artificial ingredients or trans fat. [Note: Fruit Loops in other countries such as Germany and the UK are more similar to the Cascadian Farms Fruitful O’s as they use natural vegetable colors & preservatives and sugar is not the first ingredient] EXAMPLE found at: http://blog.fooducate.com/2012/06/14/froot-loops-german-edition-das-ist-gut/

Enjoy, stock up your pantry and your donation goodies. Our fellow Americans are still recovering from Sandy and other storms, local food banks could use healthy shelf stable items and healthy shelf stable foods make a great holiday gift basket (especially for the hard-to-shop-for person on your list.)

Count your blessings. Share good news. Smile.
