Hello Friends,
Do you remember when I sent the message a few weeks ago that I was so excited about a snack challenge week I initiated at my son's martial arts academy in which the candy, ring pops, Airheads, and sodas were replaced for one week with Madhava honey sticks, FruitaBu fruit twirls, Nature's Path/Envirokidz brown rice bars (gluten free), Kashi Trail mix bars, Yummy Earth organic lollipops (no artificial colors), Fizz Ed (carbonated water + fruit juice) and Crayon fiber fruit juice drinks. The parents and staff LOVED the idea. The kids really enjoyed it as well. I am super duper excited to report that the owner has agreed to phase out the junk food and start purchasing and offering more healthy natural snacks for the kids!!! Whoo hoo!!! *+*+*+[ this symbolizes me doing a little happy dance]
My son is attending summer camp now and he came home last week excited and said “Mommy, they have healthy snacks now!” I also found him last week raiding his piggy bank for quarters so he could buy "one of those yummy suckers and a honey stick for my snack" even though my pantry is full of that stuff. Just the idea of buying snacks like the other kids and having healthy options that do not negatively alter his behavior is such a blessing and truly a victory not only for my family, but also for the other families learning about affordable healthy options.
I am challenging you all as well to initiate a healthy natural snack challenge week at an afterschool program, summer camp, Vacation Bible School , or other location in which you could make a difference in teaching kids and parents about healthy choices. I know companies make unhealthy junk food appealing for kids and cheap for parents struggling to feed their families.  Please see attached file for the full report and a list of affordable, non-perishable natural snacks you too can purchase, the cheapest place to find it, estimated cost, sales price and potential profits to help you convince others to start a Take Back Tour Natural Snack Challenge. I would LOVE to hear about your victories as well. Do not be discouraged if at first there is a bit of opposition- keep going. It took almost 2 months of me and my big mouth to convince the owner to try a TBT Natural Snack Challenge Week. Please feel free to contact me for advice, prayers or with your questions.

Many times people become associated with a famous quote which is circulated around he world. Well, here is mine. This quote was inspired by recent events in which several loved ones became seriously ill simply due to their refusal to eliminate junk "food" and eat quality food suitable for their medical condition. If you like it, pass it on please. Thank you.Renee"Many times when we are sick, we pray to God for healing.
