Those of you not local to my church missed a treat as we had a special youth service featuring a Natural Beauty Secrets of the Bible hands-on workshop. Everyone had a great time learning new (old fashioned) ways to disinfect and clean our homes and natural beauty recipes that are inexpensive and effective. For example the cost of most wrinkle treatments is $20 for a tiny bottle. A jar of natural honey is only $3-5 and works not only as a natural wrinkle treatment, but also a pore minimizer, acne treatment (it cured my adult acne), oily skin treatment, and wound healer. Many products actually perpetuate the problems they are supposed to fix. Got eczema or dandruff? Coconut oil ($5/32 oz. jar at Wal-mart, Food Lion, Kroger, etc or $8 for organic version) is a simple inexpensive remedy with natural antibacterial, antifungal and moisturizing properties; it also makes yummy food. Yes your cosmetics should be safe enough to eat. No you should not have to panic if your child tastes the kitchen cleaner (when it is just white vinegar you can relax).
I want all of you to set up your own Natural Beauty workshop in your home, church, workplace. I include an ingredients list but if you still have questions or want some more tips on how to do it, just let me know. If you need a copy of a research paper noting the scientific health properties, just send me a message and I can send you a copy I received from the researchers.
I am sharing the booklet I created summarizing my favorite recipes for beauty and home and Bible verses listing some of the items used. Who knows, maybe God insisted on cinnamon in the holy anointing oil as cinnamon repels ants; Hadassah was treated for 6 months with oil of myrrh to help beautify and soften her skin, kill gum diseases ( fresh breath and nice teeth) and keep her healthy before becoming Queen Esther.
See the link below for the booklet. The font is large so that you can set your printer to booklet style 2 pages per sheet to create an 8.5x11 booklet you can fold in half and staple to make a nice booklet.

The file is bsbworkshop booklet.pdf If your printer cannot create the booklet style, just send me a message to [email protected] and I can send you a copy of a version you can print as 2 pages per sheet.
I tried to include the places I procure my supplies. Most of the items are in your regular grocery store anyway. If you have questions still, just send me a message to [email protected].
Don't forget to avoid artificial colors in not only your food, but also in your cosmetics. Let what you put on the largest organ in your body (your skin) be good enough and safe enough to eat!
