No Fake Food Monday: Healthy Easter/Lunchbox treats Monday March 29, 2010
Hello Friends,
I was walking down the Easter section of a store yesterday and was amazed at how differently I now look at all the stuff  (the junk "food" and candy, questionable safety cheap plastic toys) on that aisle to supposedly commemorate one of the most sacred holidays in Christianity versus how I viewed it 2 years ago. If Jesus was standing beside me on that aisle, would I still think giving a basket of junk food, cheap toys and fake candy to my kids is a good idea to honor Him because it tastes good and they want it?
Religion aside, healthy foods makes healthy kids. Gifts should make you feel good not be filled with guilt (I ate the whole thing? "Why are those kids running around like they are crazy or something?"). I must admit, I too find it hard to resist the pretty pre-wrapped gifts that make my busy life easy. But I WANT to teach my children a lesson about how precious they are to me MORE. They are so precious that I will only give them the  highest quality products I can afford. Yes, afford.  So I have this list of 20 Great AFFORDABLE non-perishable Easter/Lunchbox treats you can use to show the children (and adults) in your life how precious they are to you by giving a Guilt-Free Gift.

HEALTHY TREATS:  Try these for edible, affordable all natural foods with no artificial colors, no artificial sweeteners and no hydrogenated or interesterified fats. Some are even gluten-free. They are all super yummy! They are also YAA= Yummy, Available, Affordable. Stores where you can purchase are listed for where you can find them in central NC from lowest priced to highest.
Enjoy. PLEASE share with others and show how precious they are to you!
Renee

Life passed soon, a time never appear twice. Must act decisively, otherwise I would never will.
